SCHEDULE: OVERVIEW

The Launch Initiative is a two semester experience with our Shepherds Camp summer programming as a prerequisite. 


Students will live onsite at Arrowhead during the summer and for two semesters which correspond to the fall and winter retreat seasons.


Each semester will include a combination of experience-based academics, spiritual formation & growth, professional training, and ministry experience.

SCHEDULE: DETAILS

Summer 2018 – Students will serve on summer staff as a prerequisite to continuing with the Gap Year Program (fall and spring semesters).  As summer staff, students will receive a weekly stipend.

 

Fall Semester 2018 – Students will be engaged in a variety of classroom style instruction, professional development, leadership training, mentoring, discipleship, serving as guest group hosts & James Project Coordinators, and staff for Shepherds Camp programming.  The fall semester begins September 10th and concludes December 8th (13 week duration, including a 9 day break for Thanksgiving).

 

Winter Break – Students will have a 29 day break from December 9th to January 6th.  Students will not be permitted to live at camp during winter break.

 

Spring Semester 2019 – Students will be engaged in a variety of classroom style instruction, professional development, leadership training, mentoring, discipleship, serving as guest group hosts & James Project Coordinators, and staff for Shepherds Camp programming.  The spring semester begins January 7th and concludes April 17th (14 week duration, including a 7 day spring break).
